Embarking on a culinary journey, inspired by a lesson from a recent kitchen mishap, I sought redemption in the form of a delightful Chicken Tikka Masala. Join me as I guide you through the steps, rectifying the oversight of the previous day when I used meat instead of diced chicken, missing an important addition of a flavourful sauce like Dolmio.
To correct this, I set out to create a dish featuring aromatic Tikka Masala, celebrating the art of using sauce to elevate flavours. Undeterred by my past oversight, I entered the kitchen with newfound determination, sizzling sounds and enticing aromas filling the air. This recipe not only tantalises the taste buds but also rights the flavour imbalance from the previous day's kitchen experiment.
Gather the following ingredients: (Just to note that I cooked this for 3)
Diced chicken
Olive oil
Cumin, turmeric, coriander (1 teaspoon each)
Jar of Tikka Masala
Two packets of rice
Pin
Setting the Stage:
Place a pan on medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
Allow the pan to heat up, gauging the temperature by feeling the emitted heat.
Frying the Chicken:
Once satisfied with the pan's heat, introduce the diced chicken.
Flip and turn the pieces until they transform from pink to a delectable white hue.
Sprinkle cumin, turmeric, and coriander evenly over the sizzling chicken (Or you can sprinkle these after you've added the Tikka Masala).
Introducing Tikka Masala ( Time to infuse the dish with the rich flavours of Tikka Masala):
Pour the contents of the jar into the pan, creating a symphony of spices.
Simmer the concoction, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Perfecting the Rice:
While the chicken is simmering, prepare two packets of rice. You should squeeze the contents of the packets of rice to separate it as much as possible.
Microwave the rice according to the instructions of the packets, ensuring it's perfectly cooked.
Plating the Masterpiece:
With the rice packet(s) ready, empty the contents onto plates, creating a fluffy bed for the upcoming masterpiece.
Crown the rice with the aromatic Chicken Tikka Masala, making sure to evenly distribute the flavourful sauce.
Conclusion:
In the realm of independent living, mastering recipes like this Chicken Tikka Masala is not just about creating a delicious meal; it's about embracing the joy of self-sufficiency. As you savour the aromatic blend of spices and succulent chicken atop a bed of fluffy rice, relish in the accomplishment of creating a culinary masterpiece that embodies the essence of independence. Stay tuned for more adventures in the kitchen, where I’m keen to explore and conquer the world of cooking with confidence.
